Brazilian Cheese Bread

A couple of weeks ago we had the Elders over for dinner & at the request of Elder Reese I made Brazilian food. It was delicious, although the bread had a very different texture than any other bread I have had before

Serves: 6                    Calories: 375

  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil OR Butter
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 cups Tapioca Flour
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 2/3 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan
  • 2 Eggs – beaten

Preheat oven to 375°F/190°C/Gas Mark 5

In a large saucepan add oil, water, milk & salt & bring to a boil over a high heat

Once at a boil, immediately remove from the heat

Stir in the flour & garlic until smooth

Set aside for 10-15 minutes to rest

Stir in the cheese & eggs until well combined (you will have a chunky, cottage cheese like mixture)

Drop rounded, 1/4 cup sized balls of mixture onto an ungreased baking sheet

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until tops are lightly browned
