Fried Cabbage

I made this tonight along with my new freezer meal of Brown Sugar Glazed Pork. I thought it was delicious & really enjoyed it. After a little moaning & complaining from the kids they decided that they liked it too!

Serves: 6                    Calories: 140

  • 6 slices Bacon
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic – minced
  • 1 large head Cabbage – cored & sliced
  • Salt – to taste
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Paprika

Place the bacon in a large stockpot & cook over medium-high heat until crispy

Drain off some of the fat, add the onion & garlic & cook, stirring until the onion caramelizes

Stir in the cabbage, cook & stir for another 10 minutes

Stir in the seasonings, reduce heat to low, cover & simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
