Jeremy Higginbotham’s Chocolate Sauce


I was given a jar of this chocolate sauce at my cousin’s wedding because there was lots left over. It is so delicious that I had to get the recipe. It is now a family treat to dip strawberries in this sauce.

It is so much better than any chocolate sauce I have bought & so will continue to make it instead of buying it

  • 1/2 cup Margarine
  • 6 tbsp Cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 can Evaporated Milk

Melt margarine & cocoa in a large saucepan over a medium-low heat

Gradually add sugar & salt

Slowly stir in evaporated milk

Pour into a jar & seal it. Once cooled, place in the refrigerator

NOTE: I have it under good authority that this tastes even better if you use butter & cream instead of margarine & evaporated milk
