Bourbon Chicken

Bourbon Chicken is named after a street in New Orleans. I found this recipe from Pinterest & have instantly added it to my list of quick & easy, delicious recipes. It is sweet & spicy without being too spicy.

This serves 2, but for every extra adult add a chicken breast. The sauce is a good amount for up to 4 chicken breasts

  • 2 Chicken Breasts – cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 Garlic Clove – minced
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger – minced
  • 3/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/4 cup Apple Juice
  • 1/3 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/3 cup Soy Sauce (check gluten-free if needed)

Heat skillet on medium high heat, add oil

Lightly dust chicken with cornstarch & fry until lightly browned & set aside to drain on paper towels

In a bowl, combine together the remaining ingredients & bring to a boil in skillet

Return chicken to the pan & simmer with the sauce for 10 minutes

Serve over rice with a side of stir fried vegetables
