Young Wah Lee’s Sweet Korean Sauce

This evening’s meal was Korean, by special request, so out came a recipe that I have had for years from a lovely Korean lady & friend of my Mother’s.

  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce (check gluten-free if needed)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Barbeque Sauce (check gluten-free if needed)
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • Pepper to taste

Dissolve the soy sauce, sugar, tomato ketchup & barbeque sauce in a saucepan on the stove

Add the honey, sesame oil & pepper & mix together

Cool & keep refrigerated in a sealed container

Using a pastry brush, baste the meat as desired & cook
