BBQ Chicken Pizza

Our latest pizza creation, & ever so delicious!

  • Pizza Dough
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Mozzarella Cheese – shredded
  • 1 Chicken Breast – sliced
  • Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/2 Orange Bell Pepper – julienned
  • 1 Shallot – thinly sliced
  • 4 Mushrooms – thinly sliced
  • Olive Oil

My husband makes his own pizza sauce by using the diced tomatoes (strain off most of the juice) a dash of Olive Oil (as little or as much as you want in the sauce) & dried basil. In a saucepan add the tomatoes and a little juice. Heat them over a medium-high heat & crush them slightly against the side of the pan. Add the oil & basil & mix together. Keep on a low heat, stirring occasionally

Spread the sauce over the base of the pizza, it is supposed to be chunky as we find it adds so much more texture & flavour to the pizza

In a skillet, with honey garlic sauce, fry the shallots & chicken until cooked. Arrange on the pizza base

Saute the mushrooms & arrange them with the bell pepper on the pizza base

Add the cheese, make sure you don’t put too much on. Cook the pizza at 500°F until cooked, about 10 minutes

Brush a little olive oil on the pizza crust & serve
