Chinese Salad with Asian Citrus Dressing

This is a Michael Smith, Chef at Home recipe that we took to a friend’s home when we got together for dinner a couple of weeks ago. It was surprisingly delicious!

  • Half Red Cabbage – shredded
  • 1 cup Snow Peas – thinly sliced
  • 1 Carrot – peeled & grated
  • 1 cup Bean Sprouts
  • 3 Spring Onions – thinly sliced
  • 1 small bunch Cilantro Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Peanut oil
  • 1/4 cup Rice Wine Vinegar
  • dash Soy Sauce
  • few drops Sesame Oil
  • 1 heaping tbsp Marmalade
  • 1 tsp Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Crispy Chow Mein Noodles
  • 1/2 cup Fried Onions

Toss together the cabbage, snow peas, carrot, bean sprouts, spring onions & cilantro in a large bowl

Whisk together the peanut oil, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, marmalade & hot sauce. Pour over the salad & toss well to combine

Top with crispy noodles & fried onions
