Rice Krispie Treats


Such a favourite for kids & adults alike. We made them this weekend & instead of cutting them into squares, we used cookie cutters to cut out shapes. You can also experiment by topping them with a caramel topping or drizzling melted chocolate over them

  • 1/4 cup Margarine
  • 5 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies

Melt the margarine, vanilla & marshmallows in a large saucepan

Measure out the Rice Krispies into a large bowl & pour the marshmallow mixture over them

Place in a pan until set. TIP: in order to prevent the mixture from sticking to your hands as you press it into the pan, put margarine onto your hands

Cut into squares & serve
