I have been making this for as long as I can remember. My Mum taught me how & it is a favourite now with my family. I find it a really easy dessert to make & it is always gone fast. You can use whatever fruit you want for it. Apple & Strawberry Rhubarb are the two main ones that I do, but when it comes to fruit, the world is your oyster!
- Prepared fruit
- 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Margarine
- 1/2 cup Sugar
Fill your dish 1/2 – 3/4 full of prepared fruit & sprinkle with sugar
Mix together the flour, margarine & sugar with your fingertips until it is a crumbly consistency
Spread over the fruit & bake at 350°F/180°C/Gas Mark 4 for approximately 30 minutes
Serve hot with ice cream or evaporated milk!
